A New Philosophy
The EV6 embodies a new Kia design philosophy called “Opposites United”. With renowned German automobile designer Peter Schreyer leading the charge, Kia has shifted its focus and created a much sportier, elegant presence with its vehicle lineup. The EV6 is no exception. With a wide, futuristic stance and contoured silhouette complemented by swept-back tail lights, this vehicle is sure to turn heads.
Designed Around The Driver
Kia designers took full advantage of the increased interior space thanks to a flat floor provided by EV6’s new Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). Discover an interior that is spacious, inviting, and forward-thinking.
For over 100 years, vehicles have been designed with the engine first. This means that interior space for the driver and passengers was always a second thought. Thanks to Kia’s Electric-Global Modular Platform, roominess and cargo space come first.
All of the Technology You Would Expect
EV6 is available with a next-generation head-up display (HUD) that uses augmented reality (AR) technology to project a three-dimensional snapshot of essential driving information on the inside of the windshield, directly below the driver’s line of sight. This allows you to stay on top of every driving situation without taking your eyes off the road. On top of that, you can find all of the standard tech you would expect in a modern vehicle.
Looking Out For Your Safety, On All Sides
Kia packed the EV6 with all of the safety bells and whistles that one would hope for in a modern vehicle, including a standard surround-view monitor on all GT models. This way, you can be sure that your eyes aren’t the only ones on the road, the EV6 is looking out for your safety as well, on all sides.
No Engine? No Problem.
Kia’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) has done away with the engines of the past. How does a vehicle operate with no engine you ask? No problem. The space previously used for an engine gives way to an all-electric powertrain with instantaneous acceleration and superb driving dynamics.
Driving isn’t the only experience elevated by the EV6’s advanced technology. It also charges as fast as you live your life. It employs a high-speed 800V multi-charging system that will get you 100km of driving range in as little as 4.5 minutes. It can also go from 10%-80% charge in less than 18 minutes!
All that power isn’t just reserved for the road. EV6’s available V2L (vehicle-to-load) feature can supply up to 1900 watts of AC power to light up your campsite, power the tools at your worksite, or crank up the boom box at your party site.
If that’s not enough, the EV6 has even tackled the challenges of EV driving in the winter. Winter temperatures increase battery resistance which means a reduction of range for most EVs. To cut that loss, EV6 uses an eco-friendly heat pump to recycle heat given off by the vehicle’s electrical components and use it to optimize the battery pack’s temperature. What does this mean for you? Substantially increased winter range!
